In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in North Aurora; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Illinois are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. On most of those days it is open 11:30 am–8:30 pm. Ordered for delivery. Food was awful. Chicken was inedible - some pieces were soft and squishy, others were hard and could not even be chewed , crab rangoons tasted old and rice did as well. Egg roll smelled off and so did the rest of the food. Will never eat here again.

This restaurant has a very nice decor. We were greeted and seated immediately. And hot tea and ice water were brought to our table quickly. Has a very nice menu with many choices. We both love crab ragoon and egg foo young so choosing was easy. Crab ragoon was large pieces but drier than I'm use to. Great presentation. I had shrimp egg foo young that had chopped pieces of shrimp. 3 Large great looking pieces but I didnt get a lot of flavor. My sister had chicken egg foo young. She had large pieces of chicken in hers and said it was flavorful. We were both disappointed with the gravy. Just tasted like a brown gravy which is different than we were use to. Size wise this was excellent portions with a good price. I believe I would go try a different dish there.

Food is spot on, absolutely perfect. Everything we ordered was perfect and exactly to our liking. This place has some of the best Chinese food in the entire area. For those that are leaving bad reviews, if you are that picky you need not be ordering out and just go home and cook your own food because if you don't like this place you don't know what good Chinese food is. Will definitely be coming back and will tell others as well.

We read good things about this place online and decided to do a little cheat meal delivery and I’m glad we did! Food was absolutely delicious and had decent portion sizes. Prices were very reasonable as well. Honestly this is the best Asian restaurant in the area and we will be back again. Side note - crab Rangoon was DELICIOUS and was actually filled with a large amount of crab meat unlike most restaurants. Fried rice was also delicious.

UPDATED Just tried eating here again. Tried to order what I had before. The menu has changed. It is more expensive. As a single diner, you will pay way too much. Unfortunately, I didn't stay. OLD REVIEW I've typically just ordered take-out from East China Inn. I decided to try dine-in. Dine-in, is a relatively cold experience. Service is gruff, no personality. Just order, go, serve, go. They do handle special requests. Sizes inside are not the same as take-out. Take-out often has small and large. You can't substitute rice. I don't like white rice. I like fried rice. No choice to change or even upgrade. Still for the most part, food is excellent. I did get the orange chicken. They do usel real orange peel and lots of it. I add pea pods and ginger. A few of the chicken pieces were tough and grisly. I just didn't eat that part. They make their own mustard and it is spicy good! I think take-out gives you more flexibility. The lunch special is well-priced.
